As many as 23 Indian passports have been reported missing allegedly from the Pakistan high commission leading to a security scare here. The passports belonged to Sikh pilgrims who wanted to visit gurudwaras in Pakistan including Kartarpur Sahib where the groundbreaking ceremony for a religious corridor was held by the Pakistan government last month.
Several of these passport holders have filed an FIR with the cops after which the matter was brought to the notice of the ministry of external affairs (MEA). The ministry has now moved to revoke all missing passports and has also taken up the issue with the Pakistan mission.
