The Supreme Court has said that there is no alternative for states to implement the high security registration plates for motor vehicles. The court has asked all transport secretaries and commissioners to file affidavits in four weeks affirming their resolve to expeditiously implement high security registration plates as per the time table laid down by the court.
The apex court has further warned that failure to file affidavit would result in initiation of contempt action without further notice.
