Gujarat High Court on Thursday dismissed the plea of state government challenging the D K Trivedi inquiry commission’s order asking CID crime to submit Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and postmortem reports in the mysterious death of two kids near Asaram ashram in 2008.
Dismissing the plea, Justice R H Shukla observed that first the state had set up the commission to find out the truth, but when the probe panel demanded some material to know something, the government was opposing it.
The state government approached the High Court against the inquiry commission’s order, by which it had asked the probe agency to supply postmortem report and other documents related to the investigation of death of two boys Dipesh and Abhishek Waghela.
The commission was set up by the government immediately after there was public uproar over the deaths and a demand for a thorough probe was raised.
