NEW DELHI: A Supreme Court vacation bench on Friday deferred its final decision to Monday on a petition against JNU admitting OBC students who get 10% less than the eligibility criteria for general candidates.
The criteria to admit OBC candidates to thousands of seats under the 27% quota in central educational institutions, including Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University has been a highly contentious issue.
The Supreme Court said a constitution bench had ordered that cut off for OBC candidates to be 10% less than the cut off for general category.
