AHMEDABAD: The city will get two new police stations on Tuesday as Anandnagar and Ranip police stations will be functional from June 14. The police stations are expected to serve the citizens better by reducing the burden of their parent police stations.
" Anandnagar police station has been carved out of Satellite police station. One of the busiest police stations in the city, Satellite got some relief after division of Vastrapur police station two years back. Now with Anandnagar, it will be further reducing its work load. The new police station will look after the area stretching from Makarba to Shyamal crossroads and from Karnavati Club to Jivraj flyover," said a senior city police official. The city at present has 35 police stations.
