NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday issued notice to controversial Chief Vigilance Commissioner P J Thomas on a petition seeking his removal from the key post. The court has asked why his appointment should not be quashed.
The matter will now be heard on January 27.
The apex court also issued notice to the government on the petition challenging the appointment of Thomas as the Central Vigilance Commissioner on the ground that he is facing corruption charges.
