Ahmedabad: The CBI is likely to file an application before the Supreme Court (SC) for taking legal proceedings in the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case outside Gujarat.
In November, the CBI in its status report concerning this case, had already mentioned the need to shift legal proceedings of the case to a court outside Gujarat. Prior to this, the CBI had also filed an appeal against bail granted to an accused - former minister of state for home Amit Shah. CBI had accused Shah of influencing and threatening witnesses. Subsequently, SC directed Shah to stay out of Gujarat.
