The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee's legal and human rights cell has demanded a thorough investigation to arrest those behind distribution of pamphlets on the court premises maligning the judges hearing the B.V. Girish murder case.
Cell chairperson C.M. Dhananjay said: “It should be conducted by the High Court's vigilance cell or the Government. A suo motu case should have been registered by now,” he said and added that the incident would set a precedent if it was not nipped in the bud.
It may be recalled here that the Bench comprising Justices K. Sreedhar Rao and B.V. Pinto had noticed the distribution of pamphlets in the court while hearing the plea of S. Shubha and three others in the murder of Girish, a software engineer who was engaged to Shubha.
